PASSIONATE at IEEE Meditcom 2025

We are happy to share that the PASSIONATE team from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) participated in the IEEE International Mediterranean Conference on Communications and Networking (Meditcom) 2025, held from 7–10 July in the beautiful city of Nice, France.

Ana García Armada, the project leader, contributed to the panel discussion titled “Can Wireless Networks with Channel Uncertainty Provide Deterministic Experience Service? Challenges and Opportunities (Wednesday, 9 July 2025). The panel explored cutting-edge topics such as immersive and deterministic services, which are increasingly relevant due to rapid advancements in mobile AI technologies (e.g., AI phones, AI glasses, wearable AI devices), intelligent robotics, extended reality (XR), and autonomous driving. These developments are central to unlocking the full potential of future wireless networks, an area where PASSIONATE’s work plays a critical role.

In addition, recent research from UC3M under the PASSIONATE project was presented: “OTFS Channel Estimation for ISAC via Superimposed Zadoff-Chu Pilot Sequence“, authored by Lianet Méndez-Monsanto, Andrés Reyes-Castro, Kun Chen-Hu, María Julia Fernández Getino García, and Ana García Armada, the paper was honored with the Best Paper Award at the conference. From PASSIONATE, we are deeply grateful to receive this important recognition.

We are very proud to see PASSIONATE ideas gaining visibility and impact across the research community!
