We are glad to announce the upcoming participation of PASSIONATE project in EuCNC 2026, which will take place in Málaga, Spain, from 2–5 June 2026.
In addition to contributing to the conference programme, PASSIONATE will hold its last face-to-face project meeting during EuCNC 2026. This meeting will bring together project partners to review the current project status, discuss reporting activities, and plan the final steps of the project.
PASSIONATE will also be involved in two conference activities: one workshop and one special session, both organized in collaboration with other leading European and international 6G initiatives. We warmly invite the EuCNC community, researchers, industry representatives, and young researchers to join these sessions and take part in the discussions.
Workshop: International Cooperation for AI-Native RAN for 6G

PASSIONATE will co-sponsor the workshop “International Cooperation for AI-Native RAN for 6G”, together with 6G-ARROW, 6G-MIRAI-HARMONY, and 6G-LEADER.
The workshop will focus on the emergence of AI-native radio access networks, where artificial intelligence becomes a foundational component of the architecture, control, and operation of future 6G networks. It will address both AI/ML-based use cases and architectural concepts for future RAN, as well as advanced experimental platforms for AI-native 6G RAN research.
The session will bring together academia, industry, research infrastructure operators, and funding bodies to strengthen international cooperation across Europe, the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Brazil, and Africa. The workshop will provide a forum to exchange results, align research directions, and foster collaboration towards interoperable, sustainable, and AI-ready 6G RAN infrastructures.

PASSIONATE will also co-sponsor the special session “Redefining Connectivity: Multidisciplinary Approaches to 6G through Ultra-Massive MIMO and Intelligent Sensing”, together with MiFuture, ISAC-NEWTON, and ENCORE6G.
The session will explore key technologies expected to shape future 6G networks, including ultra-massive MIMO, intelligent sensing, integrated sensing and communications, advanced positioning, and AI-aided communications and sensing.
While MiFuture focuses on Ultra-Massive MIMO for future cell-free heterogeneous networks, ISAC-NEWTON and ENCORE6G address the integration of sensing and communications through advanced antennas, machine learning-enabled sensing, resource allocation, and security. PASSIONATE complements these efforts by advancing physics-based machine learning for wireless networks, with the goal of enabling scalable, reliable, robust, and explainable ML solutions for future communication systems.
Together, the four projects represent a multidisciplinary effort to support the development of efficient, secure, intelligent, and sustainable 6G networks.
