With the European Conference on Networks and Communications EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025 in Poznan, Poland approaching, we would like to highlight the keynote delivered by Ana García Armada, “Towards a 6G Physical Layer“, at the previous EuCNC & 6G Summit 2024 in Antwerp, Belgium. It was a highly insightful presentation addressing the key challenges of the radio interface for future mobile communication generations (6G), with a focus on waveform design and signaling structures for channel estimation under complex scenarios, issues that remain partially unresolved even for 5G. The presentation emphasized the importance of flexibility in design as a crucial factor to meet the demanding future key performance indicators (KPIs).
